Flags of Our Fathers
The book I read was about a few people that came from war. They were veterans and they were flag raisers. The few people were known and had a statue at Arizona. They got the statue and it was about four people raising the flag from Iwo Jima. And the picture was taken in the mid 1900's. Probably like 10930's or 1940's. And they were from the marines that were from the United States of America. And they were remembered for putting up a flag in Iwo Jima to win the half of the island. The book was about four people who raised the flag in Iwo Jima. They won and had the half of the four mile long island. They had the one with the mountain. But the marines had a lot of casualties and a lot of marines died because of the Japanese marines. The book was mainly about some people. Mostly it was about four people. And they were taking turns being written in the book. The people were mostly in the marine when they were written in the book. They were away from their family and in a city where they were suppose to watch something or do something like protect the place. Or had to be there for some reason. One of the marines was sculptured by a professional artist. The book had information about the four characters in the book. The book also had their date of birth and where they lived and even who the parents were. The book told us when they died. The book was about the 1940's flag raisers during the Iwo Jima war.
